Meet Our Team
Founded by a mother and son team, The Lakes Treatment Center offers compassionate, service-oriented substance abuse and addiction treatments in Modesto and the surrounding areas. Our staff comprises compassionate, experienced, and highly qualified counselors, nurses, residential advisors, and intake specialists, all of whom work together to provide the personalized care, attention, and support our clients need.
Get to know our founders:
- Bernadette, Owner and CEO: Following a very successful career beginning as a radiology tech and ending as one of California’s premier realtors, Bernadette first began her dream of opening The Lakes Treatment Center in 2011 with a vision of a different kind of a treatment program that would increase the abysmal and pathetic success rates currently plaguing the industry. While not in recovery herself, Bernadette has seen the devastating effects of addiction firsthand with her children, two of whom are now working with The Lakes Treatment Center. In 2011, Bernadette was given the opportunity to realize her dream by converting an old hotel on Lake Tulloch into a first-class addiction treatment center. This dream was finally realized in 2015 when The Lakes Treatment Center first opened its doors, and it has been going strong without a look back ever since.
- Travis, Admissions Director: Travis is Bernadette’s youngest son, one of the first residents at The Lakes, and the first in the family to begin working at The Lakes Treatment Center. Travis has firsthand experience and knowledge of addiction acquired through his own trials and tribulations with substance abuse. Like many others, The Lakes saved his life. Travis now devotes himself to the honorable mission of helping every individual that walks through the doors of The Lakes Treatment Center. Beyond intakes, Travis also enjoys taking residents on hikes, wake surfing and tubing on the lake, and many other activities to help residents find hobbies and passions beyond the use of drugs and alcohol—a critical, but often overlooked, aspect of treatment.
Our entire team is here to provide the guidance and support you need to begin the healing and recovery process. We encourage you to reach out to us today to learn more about our staff, our program, our treatments, and our services for residents and their families.
