Following a very successful career beginning as a radiology tech and ending as one of California’s premier realtors, Bernadette first began her dream of opening The Lakes Treatment Center in 2011 with a vision of a different kind of a treatment program that would increase the abysmal and pathetic success rates currently plaguing the industry. While not in recovery herself, Bernadette has seen the devastating effects of addiction firsthand with her children, two of whom are now working with The Lakes Treatment Center, the new family business. In 2011, Bernadette was given the opportunity to realize her dream by converting an old hotel on Lake Tulloch into a first-class addiction treatment center. This dream was finally realized in 2015 when The Lakes Treatment Center first opened its doors and has been going strong since without a look back.
