The Lakes Treatment Center facility is located on Lake Tulloch near Modesto, in Northern California, providing a comprehensive residential treatment program for those struggling with all types of drug addiction and substance use disorders. Our location on Lake Tulloch in Northern California offers a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment for those navigating drug abuse and addiction. We offer a variety of artistic and recreational activities to help our clients develop interests and hobbies outside of drug use, an important but often overlooked aspect of recovery. Residents are welcome to use our onsite gym, swimming pool, volleyball courts, and fully stocked art room, as well as participate in various outdoor activities, such as hiking, boating, tubing, wakeboarding, and other lake activities.
We believe in providing truly integrated care, from understanding and improving nutritional health to strengthening mental and emotional well-being. Our team genuinely cares for each and every resident in our program, as well as their families and loved ones. We strive to not only help our clients beat addiction but also heal broken relationships and develop the skills they need to thrive.
In our Northern California drug addiction treatment program, clients receive the same 24-hour access and support as inpatient care but in a warmer, more inviting setting. Clients live full-time at our facility while treatment is ongoing, where they will have access to a large team of highly qualified addiction specialists, nurses, therapists, residential advisors, and other treatment professionals. All treatments take place right here at our center, alongside an array of recreational activities, classes, and optional church meetings and Bible studies.
Our drug rehab program in Modesto is highly structured and usually involves some combination of individual therapy and group therapy sessions, meetings, and other activities. The day typically begins early with a healthy breakfast and some form of meditation or yoga.
The goal is to help residents learn and develop healthy habits and provide a strong sense of structure that they can carry into their lives beyond rehab. From there, residents participate in various individual and group therapies throughout the day, punctuated by healthy meals and outdoor activities, such as hiking or boating on the lake.
Supplemental therapies focus on emotions, self-compassion, and mindfulness with the goal of helping residents learn more about themselves, what drives them to drug use, their cravings and triggers, and tools they can use now — and in the future — to manage and succeed in recovery. We also offer family services so loved ones can get involved with aftercare planning and other specialized programs.
We also focus on behavioral health and dual diagnosis treatment for those suffering from mental health concerns. If withdrawal symptoms are a concern, please note we offer supervised drug detox services as well.

We also provide dual diagnosis treatments for people who are struggling with addiction that has been caused or worsened by a mental health difficulty.
Before you first come to The Lakes Treatment Center, you can talk to our admissions specialists about what you can and cannot bring with you. For example, prohibited items include alcohol, recreational drugs, weapons, etc. But you can bring changes of clothing, personal items that bring you comfort, clearly labeled prescription medications, and so on. Again, we ask that you talk to our admissions team before your first arrival, so you can be sure that you have everything that you will need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
